  • Explaining particular historical contexts and appropriate understanding of particular disciplines and methodologies.
  • Reading texts to understand underling claims about the past and its relation to the present.
  • Employing  the  knowledge  and  skills  gained  by  studying  the  past  to  understand contemporary issues.

Specific outcomes of M. A. Degree Course   semester pattern (History)

  • Students will distinguish between primary and secondary sources and identify and evaluate evidence 
  • Students  should understand  the basic  skills  that  historians   use in research 
  • Students will produce their own historical analysis of documents and develop the ability to think critically and historically when discussing the past.
  • Students will demonstrate in discussion and written work their understanding of different peoples and cultures in past environment and of how those cultures changed over the course of the centuries.
