About the Department
The department of Economics is established in the year 1991 with the objective to develop the ability of students to link economic theories and principles with the practical life. Students are prepared for gainful employment and self-employment, also to prepare students for higher education through exploring various activities and programs, discussion on economic events on national and International level.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
Program Outcomes
- Basic knowledge of accounting, taxation, principles of business management, economics, etc.
- This course could provide well trained professionals for the Industries, Banking Sectors, Insurance Companies, Financing companies, Transport Agencies,Warehousing etc,, to meet the well trained manpower requirements.
- The program will help the graduates to take up responsibilities in production, testing, designing and marketing in the information technologies and contribute for the growth of industry.
- The graduates will get hands on experience in various aspects acquiring skills for Marketing Manager, Selling Manager, Overall Administration abilities of the company.

Master of Commerce (M.Com)
Program Outcome
- The post graduate program provides the students advanced knowledge in the field of business and management and also enables the students to acquire the basic skills required for carrying out business activities, research, stock market operations, accounting practices, etc.
- The program also provides them with adequate knowledge and skill to provide consultancy services in finance and marketing.
- Similarly after completion of the program students can confidently prepare for NET, SET, and other competitive examinations of their choice.

Master of Computer Application (MCA)
